Wrap

I wrap that wrap round my head,

Like the beauty of a butterfly, unsaid.

Patterned like that cocoon turned inside out,

Bold like that butterfly wing that shouts,

“I’m not hidden, only protecting a woman’s glory”

But the wrap is my story.

Telling the tale of that butterfly so frail;

But colorful like the day it spread it’s wings,

And beautiful like the new day brings.

Everything changes when you see true colors.

But not everyone sees the beauty in others.

So I wrap that wrap round my head,

To show the world everything, unsaid.

And what if a cocoon could show what lies in its bed?

And what if you could see the transformation that lies ahead?

Then my wrap is a cocoon turned inside out,

Protecting a woman’s glory.

And this is my story.
