New Poem, “Her Story”

Here’s this week’s poem titled, “Her Story.”

Her Story

I will always tell the story of hope in times of doubt

Even when there is a shadow

over written words you can’t make out

It was my youth and future dreams

That crumbled like the page

When I crashed, they said I would never be the same

The bad news was handed to me, the title of my story

stating no longer would I be capable

of life the same. My future decided,

a girl written off with no name

Permanent ink stains the page

the final chapter of her story

A sorrowful tale, a girl with no glory

Time passes like a short read

The ending seems what the reader predicted

Even then, I still remember

That I am still breathing

And the page still turns with every new day

Nothing is permanent

Time continues to pass

And we’re all evolving with it

Just know as long as we’re living

as long as the clock’s still ticking,

There is still hope

And hope for a new beginning
